Hey everyone,
I'm sure that you're all familiar with what's been going on the past couple of months with the Coronavirus outbreak.
Since the UK is more or less on a lockdown, I'm not sure how this is going to effect my work and I need to say a few things to reassure people who are planning to buy and have already bought from me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Me working on your dolls
I am working on your dolls as normal, nothing will change there. Unless I catch the virus, then I won't be working on them.
But my health is all good, I haven't caught anything. I rarely leave the house, due to me working on my plushies all the time.
I am always more than happy to take on your commissions and they WILL be made, no matter what.
I work from home and don't socialise too much. Especially right now, of course.
If you are planning to commission me for a plush, please feel free to!
If you've already paid me for plushies, they are still being made as normal!
Shipping
I am very particular with my work. I try to make them as fast as I can and ship them as soon as they're made.
When I'm staying at my house (I do 2 weeks at mine, then 2 weeks at my boyfriend's, etc.) we don't have a proper Postal shop in my village anymore (it shut down about 2 years ago) so a postal van comes every other day. When I need to ship something, I walk down to the postal van and ship them there.
When I'm at my boyfriends house for the two weeks, there is a general store that ships and I think I can still use them. It's a bit too far to walk to, so I will have to wait for my boyfriend to get back from work to drive me there. I have my own car but I'm still a learner and it's illegal for me to drive my own car without having someone who has driven for a few years as a passenger.
Once I've officially passed my driving test, of course I will be able to drive by myself to these places.
I'm a bit sad that they are postponing driving tests for 6 months, due to the Coronavirus but it's totally understandable.
Fabric buying
This is probably gonna be the difficult part.
I am very lucky that I have a fabric shop near me that sells the all the fabric I need for really good prices.
I very rarely have to buy fabric online.
Because it's not considered an 'essential' thing, like buying food or something medical, (even though it's very essential for me) I think it is going to be difficult to get there. I have been told not to go and buy fabric.
If there is a way for me to get there, I will do it. But I will not risk being fined for going there, if that's what the UK is going to do. I'm not so sure on that part. They probably won't even be open.
I have loads of fabric anyway and have all the fabric for my future commissions.
I have bags of it, so I'm definitely not going to be out of fabric. The only thing I am down on is stuffing. But I should be able to order that online.
If I need to buy some fabric/stuffing online, I will do it. Fabric online is more expensive online than where I normally buy it locally.
I will NOT postpone anyone's dolls because I can't get the fabric. They will be made.
If I have to order fabric online, then there may be a few days delayed, as I will need to wait for it to arrive in the mail.
But like I said, I already have loads of fabric and things can be made without me shopping online just yet.

Anyway, really hope you guys don't mind me saying all this.
I just felt like I needed to say something, in case things got worse. Will keep everyone updated.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me.
Hope everyone stays safe,
Daisy~
